After securing community funding, the Avalokitesvara Yuan Tong Monastery community began looking for a structural steel fabricator and rigger to build their new monastery. Genis Steel was selected for the work after a competitive process and the team were delighted to support this important community project. 

Communities often face unique challenges, including funding uncertainty. The Genis Steel team advised their client to use galvanised steel on the project so the steel would be protected if funding challenges delayed it.   

Working directly with the community organisation was very rewarding for the team as they could use their skills, knowledge and insight to help their client navigate the overall build process and guide decision-making.  

At two storeys high, with an open interior, a gabled roof and a perimeter walkway, the Avalokitesvara Yuan Tong Monastery will be a stunning addition to Deer Park’s landscape and the Buddhist community.
