Genis Steel supported the Northern Rivers School Cluster rebuild, a major modular education infrastructure program helping flood-impacted communities return to safe, resilient and high-quality learning environments.

Following the devastating 2022 Northern Rivers floods, Modscape was engaged to help rebuild essential school facilities using modular construction methods. The approach enabled new education spaces to be manufactured offsite and delivered quickly, helping students and staff return to their local school communities after extended periods of disruption.

A key design feature of the project was the construction of school buildings approximately three metres above ground on a steel gantry, improving flood resilience and creating sheltered undercroft areas that can also be used as outdoor play and learning spaces.

Genis Steel’s involvement reflects its capability to support complex modular projects where structural performance, accuracy and delivery certainty are essential. By contributing steel solutions for elevated modular education buildings, Genis Steel helped support a future-focused rebuild designed to strengthen community infrastructure and withstand future climate challenges.
