Genis Steel supported the Rural Doctors / Key Worker Accommodation project, a modular housing program designed to provide high-quality, self-contained accommodation for medical professionals across regional New South Wales.

Delivered in partnership with NSW Public Works Advisory and NSW Health, the project included 22 prefabricated modules installed across Armidale, Glen Innes, Gunnedah, Inverell, Scone, Quirindi and Walcha. Each 75sqm unit was designed as a complete, single-module dwelling, incorporating a full kitchen, study, living area, bathroom, laundry and separate bedroom.

For regional and remote healthcare projects, modular construction provides a faster, more controlled delivery model, helping reduce site disruption while ensuring accommodation can be completed, transported and installed efficiently. The single-module approach also allows the dwellings to be relocated in the future as hospital needs change.
