Genis Steel supported the Snowy Hydro Staff Accommodation project in NSW, a major modular redevelopment delivered in one of Australia’s most challenging alpine environments.

The project involved the delivery of 52 one-bedroom dwellings and a community centre, constructed from 139 prefabricated modules for the remote Snowy Mountains township. While the dwellings were primarily timber-framed, the community centre required a steel structural system to support large open spans and withstand heavy snow loads.

Working within the demands of modular construction, Genis Steel provided steel fabrication support that contributed to the strength, precision, and efficiency required for offsite manufacture and remote-site installation.
