In 2024, RAA announced it was developing a new, purpose-built technical centre in South Australia. Genis Steel was delighted to help the site developer, Emmett Construct, with the build, cementing an important relationship between the two teams. The RAA Technical Centre will feature a dynamic workshop, immersive member experiences, a retail presence, and a café.

The Genis Steel team supplied over 250 tonnes of steel for the three-storey, 3000 m² building, which will house more than 400 employees. The building was designed with vertical fins – two steel plates held apart – along the exterior, and this striking architectural detail sets it apart in the landscape. Within the building, a grand entrance was created with an unrestricted view from the ground level up through to the atrium. 

Genis Steel worked closely with the entire build team, often coordinating deliveries with multiple trades, to ensure every deadline was met and achieve a smooth, on-time transition into the subsequent build stages.
